7.5 years

i will not lie. the YEARS which have passed did not seem like days. there were many times in the first few years, which i lacked faith and belief that the day would ever come. i feared each door that opened to grow our family concurrently with this process, would somehow hinder it. but it never did. nothing 'hindered' the process, because God has His own timing which was unknown to us. He had a plan, which He decided was going to take 7.5 years. it's hard to believe, but we are grateful. we are grateful for His ways which have shaped us to have a deeper understanding of who He is, and thankful that her referral didn't come a day earlier or later than it did. she will now grow under the protection of her two, proud, excited brothers, instead of being the oldest sister.

as if 7.5 years wasn't enough time to figure out her name ... but apparently it wasn't. she's affectionately known as our "mei mei" (妹妹), which is little sister in chinese.
