i got to celebrate it with my beautiful foster mother, who loves me dearly. i also celebrated my birthday with other "may birthday" kiddos like me (i.e. waiting to be united with their forever families) at the adoption agency. i don't have any pictures to show how fun it was, nor can i disclose if i am telling the truth. this is just what i "think" happened - i am just turned "1" after all :)
i realize mommy, daddy & big bro have been putting plans "on hold", in anticipation to come get me. please tell them to "CONTINUE LIVING LIFE!" i am but one (albeit, an important ONE) little guy, waiting in a sea of other little guys & gals who are preparing to meet their forever families. people usually say, "no news is good news", but in this case, "no news means wait some more", AND, ... even if there was some news, they would still need to WAIT SOME MORE. as it turns out, my agency is currently inundated with families traveling to pick up their kiddos. people who are hearing "good news" today (i.e. the long awaited "travel call"), cannot see their kids until TWO WEEKS from now!!
so yes, the reality is i'm going to cherish the next few weeks with my dear foster mother and her family, while mommy, daddy & big bro "continue living life". it doesn't look like anybody is going anywhere for at least a FEW MORE WEEKS!
keep on nesting & packing family ... and clean that house up while you are at it! there are really no excuses at this point!! :) i won't be home with you for at least a few more weeks ...
