ok, you are probably wondering what an EP is. maybe this is why it took me TWO weeks to tell them (i.e. i had to understand it myself first).
an EP - Emigration Permit - is the first step in the korean gov't paperwork process. an EP is submitted into the ministry of health and welfare. once my EP is approved, which takes approximately 4-6 weeks from submission, i'll need to do a list of other things:
- Travel Certificate - the korean agency applies to the ministry of foreign affairs for my travel certificate, which is basically a one-way passport out of Korea to the US
- Visa Physical Exam - a doctor appointed by the US embassy checks me out
- Visa Interview - i need to show myself at the Embassy and have an "interview", because you know how much i can "speak" :)
- Travel Call - alas, mommy & daddy get THE call that they can come get me!!
my 1st bday is in late may. do you think i'll be home with my forever family?? i think we're all praying for it!
sorry, no updated pics of me :(
