the first glimpse
one year ago today, we received a very long, awaited phone call from our adoption agency, letting us know they wanted to refer us a baby boy, whom was 5 months old. we were overwhelmed with emotions, but most of all excited! the conversation was surreal, and ended with, "do you want to see pictures of him?" "can we?? yes! please email us pictures of him!"
our hearts melted as we looked at his pictures for the first time. among the photos were one of tobe at 2 months (left) and one of him at 5 months (right).
i tried to take similar poses of him today, but needless to say, it was a little challenging to do so with a toddler who has a mind of his own! "elmo" was the closest thing we have a "royal red throne" :)

Tobe has grown up so much in this period of time. We have followed his progress from the time his first photos were available. His journey has been amazing with God's guidance all the way. Hope he will continue to live a Christian life and be blessed and loved by everyone he comes in contact with. May God give him long and meaningful life.
