where has the time gone?!
it truly feels like yesterday that we stepped out of a taxi cab in front of a several story building in seoul, korea, knowing that we would emerge as a family of four. the wait had ended. it was time to be united with our 2nd bundle of joy! there was so much excitement, mixed with nervousness for what lay ahead.
it's quite amusing to think back to our first day together - from meeting asher in the confines of a room, to 'snatching him away' from all that he knew and loved as we drove off in a taxi back to our hotel, to taking a walk in the afternoon which lead to an impromptu, worst dinner ever .... pure craziness!
after spending 4 days in seoul and a 15 hour plane ride home, i wasn't sure i was cut out for two toddlers under 3! but by the grace of God, we've managed to remain a family of four! :)
asher, we love the silly boy you are becoming, full of character, independence and a dash of stubbornness. we love how you look up to tobe, yet manage to also be the thorn in his side. we love your mischievous smile, quick feet, and opportunistic personality. we love how you quickly learn things we don't intentionally teach you (e.g. "no!", "mine") while making fun of things we try to intentionally teach you (e.g. colors). your verbal and facial expressions crack us up daily!
we are so thankful & beyond blessed that God decided you would be part of our family! we cannot imagine life without you. happy 1st family day, monkey!

Happy Family Anniversary! God's plans for our lives are so absolutely amazing and the blessings are countless. Praise the Lord for you amazing children!
