well, mommy & daddy finally "did the deed". for several weeks i heard them contemplating whether they should cut my hair themselves or pay a kiddie barber to. they got brave and did it themselves ... well, daddy really did. mommy just made sure i was occupied. these are the before and after shots.though this is not my 'first' haircut, it is my first haircut with them. along the lines of other 'firsts', you will be impressed to know that i can give high-fives, high-tens, wave bye-bye (though i don't know what that means yet), and clap my hands!! mommy did catch a glimpse of me signing 'more' to an auntie who was feeding me pears, but i have not shown it since. i mean, c
'mon, i'm no dummy you know! if i overachieve now, they will continue to push me until i'm a grown adult! i know how this works. everything needs to be in moderation.
over the weekend i also went to a park to try my new skills on a 'bigger' slide. i also got to experience the swing for the first time. i am undetermined whether i like it or not. i did however enjoy feeling (and eating) the wood chips on the ground. that was probably the best part!
speaking of eating ... i have successfully outwitted mommy and chomped my way through my first hard cover book (and on to my second), two DVD cases, and her shoulder. some of my toothbrush bristles are 'missing', and my 'play mat' also has a little piece missing. is this unhealthy? oh, and as far as read food goes, i'm less eager to chomp away at that, especially the first bite. who knows what mommy has put together?! i am however realizing that what i eat versus what mommy & daddy eat are DIFFERENT! what is up with that? i am working on breaking them down. i trust i will win.
i continue to meet little people like me. it's a little annoying, especially because they raid my territory, and more importantly my toys! inevitably, by the end, i need to sit, pretend i enjoyed their stay and be photographed! i tried my new fetish of 'pulling' hair. see if he comes back to 'play'!
