i have (miraculously) survived 4 weeks with my newbie parents! no major mental or physical scars (that i know of); however i did manage to create my first self-induced scratch & bruise on my face! i woke up monday morning and mommy noticed it on my face! i'm a tough cookie though, so please, no need for "get well" cards or toys :)this week was by far my best week, because mommy & daddy finally figured out when i should eat, sleep and play. i still poop whenever i want to though.
this leads me to communication. i have been babbling away this week, but they still don't understand me! they have been trying to do silly hand gestures & faces, trying to get me to do the same thing (clapping, signing more, water & eat), but why should i follow them? shouldn't they try to understand me?? who's bright idea was it to gesture more by putting finger tips together anyways? when i want "more", trust me, i let them know i want more, and i don't need to but my fingers together to let them know! :)
i think i have figured out my name is "tobe"; but shhhh, don't tell them i know! i also think i understand when mommy doesn't want me to touch or do something; but shhh, don't tell her! i am trying to milk this period of 'grace' for all it's worth! mommy then decided to start speaking chinese to me. i perked up pretending to understand, but really i was just curious. now that i am more used to hearing it, i ignore it as well. someone should seriously come out with a baby babbling book for adults. it would be a best-seller for sure.
because i am vain and mainly only post pictures of myself, some of you may think i have no friends. ok, maybe i don't have many, but my desire is to protect the innocent. i did however meet a cutie this weekend at a birthday party. the birthday party was for a friend who arrived from korea to the US the same day as me! how cool is that? anyway, do you think i have a chance?
